This series of works focuses on my experiences growing up in Montgomery, Al. I am very fortunate to still retain memories of my childhood, for better or worse. In a way this work pays homage to my younger self.
My father would call me “Boy” when he was angry after or during some type argument we had, which was often.
The title, “Reflecting Boy”, should be thought of in this light. “Boy” is in the act of reflecting upon something that has happened or is currently happening to him.
